> In submitting an application for consideration, applicants have accepted the terms and conditions of the programme
> In submitting an application for consideration, applicants agree that the information provided is true and accurate. Any attempt to supply false or knowingly misleading information may result in a forfeit of programme fees paid, withdrawal from the programme or other appropriate action
> Star Institute reserves the right to decline any application for enrolment on a training course
> Participants are entitled to a 14 day ‘cooling off’ period from accepting their place on the programme, within which to withdraw from the programme without charge. If withdrawing within 14 days of commencing the programme, participants will be liable for a £50 administrative charge
> Participants cannot transfer their place on the programme to any other person under any circumstances
> It is the responsibility of participants to inform Star Institute, in writing, of any changes or amendments to personal circumstances and/or contact details
> Programme fees will be invoiced at the beginning of the programme and payment should be made within 30 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing by Star Institute
> Where course fees have not been paid within these terms and conditions, Star Institute reserves the right to withdraw the participant from the programme or withhold the award of the related qualification
> Participants wishing to withdraw from the programme must provide a reason in writing. Participants may be subject to cancellation or withdrawal fees in line with the Star Institute Cancellation Policy
> If a participant leaves their current employment and the employer had agreed to fully pay course/qualification costs including assessment fees, then liability for paying/arranging payment of unpaid monies transfers to the candidate
> Participants are entitled to request a period of deferment/interruption in exceptional circumstances; for example, sickness, close family sickness, bereavement, maternity/paternity leave, or other exceptional reason. Approved deferment will extend the programme completion date by the period of agreed deferment
> A deferral can be granted for a maximum of twelve months, subject to participants meeting any changes to eligibility criteria. Participants who decide not to re-engage with their qualification will be subject to the Star Institute Cancellation Policy. Multiple deferrals may not be granted and could incur additional fees
> Participants who defer and wish to repeat course content (including face-to-face events) may be required to pay additional charges
> Participants will be provided with access to online resources for the start of the programme and for 6 months after programme completion. In instances where a deferral or extension has been granted this access period may extend beyond the original or normal length of the chosen qualification, subject to Star Institute confirmation. Removal of participant access to the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) will also remove any and all content added to the VLE. Content will not be retained or archived by Star Institute for access at a later date
> Participants agree not to duplicate, share or in any other way infringe on the copyright of any programme materials or content without the express permission of the copyright holder
> Participants are responsible for managing their attendance at face-to-face sessions. Failure to attend a booked session or failure to cancel a booking without sufficient advance notice, may incur a charge of £50. Consideration will be given to exceptional circumstances (eg, Ofsted, sickness)
> Star Institute reserves the right to cancel a face-to-face session, up to 5 days before the due date, with no financial penalty for either party
> Participants are responsible for tracking their progression and completing the programme within the allotted time frame Star Institute will not be liable for any failure to perform any or all of its obligations where that failure is due to the actions of someone else or to any cause beyond our reasonable control
> Star Institute reserves the right to cancel, reschedule or vary any course or part of the course due to insufficient numbers, reasons beyond control or changes on regulations. If this were to happen and the participant was unable to meet the new schedule Star Institute will refund any money paid for the course
> Where Star Institute cancels a training course it will not be held liable for transportation, accommodation, loss of earning or any other associated costs
> Whilst participants are on any training premises they are obliged to abide by all Health and Safety policies that are in place. Where a participant is disruptive to delegates, breaches health and safety guidelines or endangers themselves or others, Star Institute reserves the right to ask that candidate to leave the premises. Participants that are asked to leave the course for the above reasons will not be entitled to a refund
> Star Institute excludes all liability to any registered candidate whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise save that this exclusion shall not exclude its liability for death or personal injury arising from its negligence, nor its liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or misrepresentation as to a fundamental matter, nor any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law
> Star Institute reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time without notice.
