The Department for Education (DfE) have confirmed that National Professional Qualification (NPQ) scholarship funding will be available from the 1st of April 2020 to 31st March 2021.
Scholarship funding will be available for NPQ cohorts starting in the summer term under the same criteria as before. This means schools in Category 5/6 Areas and Opportunity Areas are eligible, as well as all those working for Trusts and Dioceses with schools in those areas. The Department for Education has confirmed that although funding will continue, this criteria will change for Autumn term starters and we don’t yet know what the updated criteria will look like.
