The programme is designed to respond in a tailored way to the specific development needs of the participants through bespoke workshops, individual coaching sessions and the opportunity to prepare for middle leadership interviews. Despite being a region with a large pool of BME teachers (approximately 7.3%), BME individuals make up only 3% of middle leaders, 2% of senior leaders and 1% of headteachers.
