Star Institute supports professional development across all leadership roles in schools, academies and children’s centres, from leading a team to leading beyond an organisation. These include Trustees, Governors, CEOs of MATs, Executive Headteachers, Headteachers, Senior Leaders, Middle Leaders and aspiring leaders.
The Institute offers the opportunity to study a range of qualifications that provide national recognition of leadership development and professional achievement. We also provide flexible and bespoke leadership development support to meet a school or academy’s individual needs and drive school improvement priorities. We specialise in talent development and succession planning and aim to develop the future leaders to meet the most pressing needs across the sector. Programmes are shaped for and by school leaders and underpinned by international research and thinking.
To support us in the delivery of our high quality leadership development programmes and activities we’re looking for individuals with a successful and variedtrack record in school leadership to work with us as consultants. The range of activities includes programme facilitation, leadership coaching, NPQ final assessment and content writing. Many of our consultants fulfil more than one of these roles.
The ideal candidates will have a strong and varied track record of senior leadership in ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ school settings. Broader experience in school to school support would be a benefit. Applications from recently retired headteachers or senior leaders would be welcome as would applications from serving school leaders with the capacity to provide a minimum of 5 days per year.
